In Young Life we are always looking to create and share experiences with kids. Coming up with creative ways to have fun with kids is something Young Life has been doing for over 70 years. A small example of that was Ladue Young Life’s Instagram Club. A night of running around town and sharing pictures as it all unfolded and then coming together at the end for the picture you see below.
As we enter the fall, it’s a whole new school year for high school students. One class has moved on to college and a whole new group of freshmen have joined the ranks. Many kids come back to school different than they were even three months ago. Summer experiences and entering a new year can affect all sorts of things. One constant thing that’s still there at 7 schools in St. Louis County is Young Life. Leaders are making their way to games and other events and out to coffee with kids. And over the month of September all 7 schools will start their weekly club. The Best Hour of the Week where kids can be kids, laugh, feel loved and hear about Jesus. There will be new kids and kids that are at a new place. This months literally hundreds of kids will check out Young Life. We’ll be ready.
Below Parkway West kids pile into the basement last week for Young Life Club
All six of our schools have started Young Life Club in the last few weeks. Young Life Club is our weekly meeting with kids. It is a place where they can come, relax, have fun with their friends and hear about Jesus. All types of kids come to Young Life Club. The kids who you would think are the “good” kids and the kids who you would maybe think aren’t. We want Club to be a place where every kid feels welcome, has fun, and hears about Jesus. Over 350 kids were at a Young Life meeting this week.
The first week of August kids from Kirkwood, Maplewood, Parkway West, and Webster Groves had the best week of their lives at Castaway in Minnesota. You can see all the video from the week right here: Young Life Castaway Week 9
